This month, we're talking with Eddie Clebsch-Garcia, Senior Investment Manager at PHD Media, to discuss his experience working in the media industry and what he loves about OOH.
How long have you been in your current role?
Over 8 months now as a Senior Manager (The year has just flown by!)
What made you want to enter the advertising industry?
I had done marketing at university and had someone I knew working in the industry. From there timing just worked out and I ended up getting a job as soon as I graduated.
What do you love about working in media?
The people! I get to work with some of the best people every day, makes the hard days’ worth it when you can
What makes OOH unique?
It always been the most interesting channel to me, the way we as consumers interact with OOH is completely different to any other medium. I think the latest innovations that have been coming out of OOH also showcases just how much opportunity there are for brands to utlilise.
Proudest achievement in your career so far?
30u30 short list. Having the support of PHD as well as the people I mentioned before, it really made it a special night for me.
What are your goals for the next 12 months?
We have a very strong investment community at PHD and I’m looking forward to being able to help grow and elevate that over the next 12 months.
What is your favourite OOH campaign?
Globally would be the Heineken “Shutter Ads” campaign, it showed the flexibility of OOH while also being able to do good for the community.
